About Prof. (Dr.) A. M. Gurav

I am Prof. (Dr.) A. M. Gurav, Professor and Head, Department of Commerce and Management, Shivaji University, Kolhapur (M.S.), India. With over 33 years of academic and administrative experience, I have dedicated my career to advancing education, research, and institutional excellence in the fields of Commerce, Management, and Human Resource Development.

Academic Excellence

Over three decades of teaching and leadership experience in Commerce and Management education, nurturing scholars at M.Com., M.B.A., M.S.W., and Ph.D. levels.

Leadership & Research

Guided numerous research scholars, completed UGC-funded projects, and served as Senate Member, BOS Member, and Dean (I/C) of the Faculty of Commerce and Management at Shivaji University.

Awards & Achievements

Recipient of prestigious awards including “Best Teacher” (2011), “Br. P. G. Patil Best Teacher” (2012), and “P. C. Shejwalkar Best Commerce Teacher Award” (2013).

General Management

I am very much interested to contribute General Management areas in the industries and institutions. I have contributed some innovative thoughts to the Corporate Sector, Cooperative Sector and Business people in the field of General Management. Especially Decision Making, Administration, Problem Solving etc. I can contribute in General Management regarding Research and Implementation.

Human Resource Management

I am a student of HR. I have conducted more than 6000 training programmes for the employees and executives in the corporate sector in the state of Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka. I worked as a panel member for employee selection. I developed Performance Appraisal Model with computer softer ware to measure the performance of employee under 360 degree performance appraisal method, which has submitted for Patent purpose. I can contribute in HR regarding Research and Implementation.

Marketing

Marketing survey, research, implementation, product design, consumers’ perception study etc studies, research and implementation have undertaken by me. I can contribute in marketing area regarding Research and Implementation.

Costing

Costing is the favorite subject for me. I worked on cost sheet; activity based costing, cost center determination, CVP analysis, BEP, Management Accounting etc in last 25 years. I can contribute in Costing and Management Accounting regarding Research and Implementation.
